Enrolling to Vote

Voting at State and Federal elections is compulsory in Australia and an important part of the democratic process. Voting at local Council elections is also compulsory.

Enrolling to vote allows you to engage with government at local, state and federal levels and to play a role in selecting your representatives at each level of government.

It is also important to make sure your enrolment is up to date and that you are registered to vote at your current residential address.

Information relating to your enrolment is available online at theĀ Victorian Electoral Commission.
